 Looking for an outgoing, people-person for our Child Development Center receptionist. Duties would include: general office duties, basic computer knowledge, answering telephones, greeting parents and children, working closely with Child Development Director on the day to day operations of the child care. Child Care Assistant Teachers

We are looking for group leaders for our before and after school program.  Morning and/or afternoon hours available.  Experience working with school age children preferred.  Must be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate. 

 The YMCA Child Development Center is looking for experienced assistant teachers to work in our infant, toddler and preschool classroom.  Morning and Afternoon shifts available.  Looking for applicants that are committed to the growth and nurturing of children.  Experience and education in ECE preferred.   Must be at least 18 years of age.

Dance Instructor

Provides direct supervision and instruction to a group of children. Creates positive, nurturing relationships with children, while building cooperative relationships with parents/caregivers. Promotes and supports the potential of all youth in the dance program as part of the overall program experience.Knowledge of ballet and tap needed. Yoga Instructor

The Findlay YMCA is looking for a part-time yoga instructor to join our caring team. Responsible for leading safe, effective yoga classes. Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt classes to meet the members’ needs. Must have ability to cue, coach, and help others. Availability to sub in addition to regular classes. Current Yoga certification required. CPR/AED certifications required or must obtain within 2months of hire.

Youth Sports Officials – Volleyball & Flag Football

Position Summary:

Provides a positive and safe sporting environment that teaches and enforces game rules and regulations and focuses on youth development and healthy living.

Essential Functions: 

Promotes and incorporates the YMCA five core values and character development model in to all program activities Officiates and enforce game rules to the YMCA standards and philosophy. Ability to explain calls and rules to the coaches and players upon request. Conducts pre-game meeting with coaches.Creates a cohesive playing environment for participants as well as coaches. Ensures equal and fair play for each participant. Prepares playing field and equipment prior to event and properly secures playing fields after the event. Reports equipment problems promptly. Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, including emergency procedures. Respond to member questions and concerns and provide feedback about the game as requested.Attends staff meetings and training as required.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Minimum age of 16 years.
  2. CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention trainings.
  3. Previous experience working with children in a sports setting preferred
  4. Previous experience with diverse populations
