Findlay Family YMCA’s Stronger Together Capital Campaign, one of the most ambitious in the organization’s 136-year history, intends to create a revitalized, collaborative, community-centered campus for all ages and for the ages.
The campaign’s multi-phased plan is built upon the Y’s Christian-based mission and values that are integral to its focus on strengthening health, wellness, connection, and spirituality for all. Supporters – many of whom are leaders within our region - have spent nearly a decade identifying how to best maximize partnerships, programs, and physical spaces in ways that will continue to benefit the larger Findlay and Hancock County community.
The COVID-19 pandemic slowed the campaign’s momentum, but we’re now back on track and excited to share our transformative goals.
The campaign encompasses two building phases. Phase I will include construction of the Early Learning Center (ELC) behind the existing Downtown Branch at 300 E. Lincoln St. The ELC will replace the outgrown and outdated Child Development Center housed in a two-story building at 231 E. Lincoln St. Phase II will include a renovation and expansion to the Downtown Branch, physical connection to the ELC, and renovations to the East Branch at 1400 Manor Hill Road.
Additionally, Phases I and II will position the Y to holistically enhance its programming and partnerships with forward-thinking amenities and creative alliances.
Resulting will be a dynamic and cohesive activities hub that will impact the Y’s entire array of facilities and offerings located throughout the county.
With the ELC groundbreaking occurring in September 2024, the Stronger Together campaign is finally moving from planning to fruition. More details on Phase I and II - particularly how these projects will empower and inspire individuals, groups, organizations and companies - can be found in other online Stronger Together Capital Campaign sections.
We hope you join us as we grow STRONGER TOGETHER!
